Exploring the language of architecture with dots and lines in the fabric of space.

Copenhagen Børsen – a drawing study capturing a moment in space. This piece reflects on the tragic event that led to the loss of one of Copenhagen’s most emblematic buildings. The structure, an outstanding example of Dutch Renaissance architecture, left no surface untouched by masterful detail—each element above its brick façade telling a story of craftsmanship and historic presence.

"Voids in Destruction" is a component of broader research into buildings that have either have been destroyed, are slated for demolition, or are in the process of being destroyed. In this instance, the focus is on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, which was tragically almost entirely destroyed by an accidental fire during its restoration. The work explores three district moments in time: what remains, what has been lost, and what is currently being destroyed.

The piece is created using a combination of ink and oil pastels on canvas paper, as well as PVC and polyester paper.

Dimensions: 550 x 350 mm.
